What it generates
An open-top tray with a configurable cell grid. Originally designed as a pencil holder, but the same shape fits brush sets, screwdriver kits, makeup organizers, kitchen utensil caddies — anywhere you need a compartmentalized container.
Parameters
- Length, Depth, Height — outer dimensions of the tray, in millimetres. Length 40–300, Depth 30–300, Height 30–300.
- Wall thickness — outer wall thickness. Default 4 mm. Tune to match nozzle × perimeter count.
- Bottom thickness — floor thickness, separate from walls.
- Hole diameter — diameter of the cell openings (when configured as hole-grid).
- Hole spacing — gap between holes.
- Rows × Cols — grid layout, 1×1 up to 10×20.
- Chamfer — small bevel on the top edges and hole rims (0–1 mm) for cleaner first layers.
- Color — single material; the 3MF will embed this color for auto AMS slot mapping.
Common use cases
- Pencil/pen holders for desks
- Brush organizers (paint, makeup, hobby)
- Screwdriver and bit holders
- Kitchen utensil caddies (small)
- Workbench small-parts trays
Tips
- For tall pens, set Height to at least 60–80 mm so they stay upright.
- For mixed objects, increase Hole diameter and reduce row/col count.
- If walls feel flimsy, increase Wall thickness to 5–6 mm.
