Do I need a CAD program?
No. Moxie3D generates the geometry for you. You move sliders, the model updates live in your browser. Download the file when it looks right: STL or 3MF for a 3D printer, DXF or SVG for a laser.
What file formats do you support?
STL - one plain mesh, works with every slicer.
3MF - each colour as its own part. In Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer you assign them to AMS/MMU slots.
DXF and SVG - for laser cutting. They open in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, Inkscape and most laser software.
Do I need to sign in?
Browsing and preview are open to everyone. You need an account to download - that's where your plan and the free limit are tracked. A single file can also be bought without an account.
Free generators and limits
How many free files do I get?
5 free files a day and 30 a month, counted together across all free generators. The daily count covers the last 24 hours, the monthly one starts again on the 1st. Files you buy by card or get from a plan don't count toward either limit.
What happens when I hit the limit?
You can wait for the counter to reset, buy that one file by card, or choose a plan. The editor shows the price before anything is charged.
Where can I see how many I have left?
In the editor sidebar (Today and This month), and on the pricing page when you're logged in.
Premium generators & plans
What's the difference between free and premium?
Free generators have simpler geometry and a daily download cap. Premium generators are included in every plan (Maker, Seller, Studio), or you buy a file by card.
Can I sell what I make?
Only with the Seller or Studio plan. Every file you download on them may be sold as prints or laser-cut pieces, and stays licensed after you cancel. Files from Free, Maker or bought one by one are for personal use.
Can I show what I made?
Yes - add a photo in your account under My Builds, or with Add your photo on the generator page. We check every photo; once it's approved it shows on the generator page with a link to your shop or profile. If we pick it for the home page you get 15 days of a plan (or half a month off your plan), at most once a month.
Printing & slicing
Will the 3MF work with my Bambu Lab printer?
Yes. The 3MF includes filament color mapping. Open it in Bambu Studio and each color is auto-assigned to an AMS slot.
I have a single-color printer. Can I still use Moxie3D?
Yes - export as STL. You'll get a single-color geometry file that works with any slicer.
What wall thickness should I use?
Match it to your nozzle × perimeter count. 0.4 mm nozzle with 4 perimeters → 1.6 mm walls. 0.6 mm nozzle → 2.4 mm. Default values in each generator are a safe starting point.
Support & bugs
I found a bug. Where do I report it?
Use the contact form with subject "Technical issue", or the Help → Report a problem menu inside any generator.
Can I request a new generator?
Yes - submit a generator request. Describe what you want to print, dimensions, use case. We build the most-requested ones first.
