Licensing
Understand what you can and cannot do with files downloaded from Moxie3D.
All files generated and downloaded through Moxie3D are protected by copyright. By downloading a file, you agree to the terms of the license associated with your account plan. Two license types are available: Personal (every file) and Commercial (Seller and Studio plans).
Personal License
Free, Maker and single filesFor personal, non-commercial use. Applies to every file from Free and Maker, and to files bought one by one.
What you CAN do
- Print or laser-cut for personal use (home, hobby, maker projects)
- Make gifts for friends or family
- Modify files for your own personal use
- Re-download your files at any time for free
What you CANNOT do
- Sell physical prints or laser-cut pieces made from the files
- Redistribute or share the STL, 3MF, DXF or SVG files
- Upload files to other platforms (Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D, etc.)
- Use files in any commercial context
- Claim the design as your own
Commercial License
Seller and Studio plansComes with the Seller and Studio plans. Every file you generate or download while the plan is active may be sold as physical prints or laser-cut pieces, and it stays licensed after you cancel.
What you CAN do
- Everything in Personal License
- Sell physical prints and laser-cut pieces made from downloaded files
- Sell through online marketplaces (Etsy, eBay, local shops, craft fairs)
- Produce in bulk for commercial projects
- Use in client work and paid commissions
What you CANNOT do
- Resell or redistribute the digital files (STL, 3MF, DXF, SVG)
- Sell files as part of a digital product bundle
- Sub-license the files to third parties
- Remove or alter any copyright notices
- Claim the design as your own
