Everything you need to make your first file for a 3D printer or a laser cutter: pick a generator, set the parameters, check the preview and download.

What is Moxie3D?

Moxie3D makes files for 3D printing and laser cutting, right in your browser. Pick a generator - a keychain, a name sign, a drawer organizer, a plywood box or crate - set the size, text and colours, and download a file that is ready to use: STL or 3MF for your printer, DXF or SVG for your laser. No CAD software needed.

Four steps to your file

  1. Pick a generator on the Generators page. You can filter by 3D printing or laser cutting.
  2. Set the parameters - dimensions, text and font, colours, patterns, number of compartments. The 3D preview follows every change.
  3. Download - STL or 3MF for 3D printing, DXF or SVG for laser cutting.
  4. Print or cut - open the 3MF or STL in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or any other slicer. Open the DXF or SVG in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, Inkscape or your laser's own software.

3D printing

A .3mf file keeps each colour as its own part, so in Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer you only assign them to AMS slots. Text keychains are built in stacked layers, so they also print in several colours on a single-nozzle printer: pause and swap filament where one layer ends. .stl is one plain mesh that works in every slicer.

Laser cutting

Laser generators draw flat parts that slot together with finger joints: boxes, crates, trays, stands and racks. Set the material thickness to the sheet you actually cut, because every joint is sized from it. Plywood sold as 3 mm is often 2.8 or 3.2, so measure it and cut one test joint before the whole job.

Free generators and plans

Most generators are free: 5 files a day and 30 a month, counted together across all free generators. Premium generators, such as sets with several objects in one file, are included in every plan; without a plan you buy a file by card, one at a time. Maker is for your own projects, Seller and Studio are for selling prints or laser-cut pieces - only those two include the commercial license. Details on the pricing page.

Account

Preview and parameter changes are open to everyone. To download free files you need an account. Without one you can still buy a single file by card. Your downloads and your plan live in your account.
