Pencil and Brush Holder - a row of holes over an open window

About this generator

A solid block with a row (or a grid) of round holes on top and a window right through the middle. Pens and brushes drop through the top and stand in their own sockets in the thick base, so they don't lean on each other and the holder stays light. One colour, STL or 3MF.

What it's good for

Art desks and workshops, mostly. Painters keep brushes standing bristles up so they dry without bending, and a long row of small holes makes a tidy stand for hex keys, screwdrivers or crochet hooks. Every pen has its own socket, so even a half-empty holder looks neat. Size the holes for markers and it sorts a classroom set by colour.

What you can change

  • Size - length 40 to 300 mm, depth and height 30 to 300 mm
  • Holes - 5 to 50 mm across, up to 10 rows and 20 columns - the generator keeps only as many as fit
  • Spacing - the gap between neighbouring holes
  • Walls and base - wall thickness, and how deep the sockets in the base go
  • Chamfer - up to 1 mm on the hole rims and the front and back edges

Printing

Print it standing on its base, as it comes out of the generator. The top of the window is a bridge; at the default size any decent printer handles it, but if you stretch the holder past 200 mm, turn on supports for that span.

Frequently asked questions

Which file formats can I download?

You get an STL and a 3MF. STL opens in any slicer (Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura); 3MF keeps the colours split, so a multi-colour model opens ready for an AMS or filament changes.

Is this generator free to use?

Yes, with a free account: 5 files a day and 30 a month, counted together across all free generators. No credit card needed. Past that, pay for one file by card or choose a plan.

Can I customize the dimensions and details?

Yes. Every slider and option in the editor changes the model, and the 3D preview updates as you go. The full list of what you can change is in the description above.

Do I need an account?

An account lets you save drafts, sync settings across devices, and use the free daily quota. Browse and preview without one - login only required for download.
