Shelf Organizer

About this generator

Shelf Organizer builds a compartmentalized tray that drops into a drawer or sits on a shelf. The geometry scales from a tiny 30×30 mm coin tray up to a 300×300 mm tool drawer divider with rounded corners and a bottom chamfer for printability.

What you can change

• Outer dimensions — width and depth between 30 and 300 mm, height between 10 and 200 mm. Use calipers on the actual drawer interior — IKEA bin dimensions vary year-to-year.
• Cell grid — nCols × nRows from 1×1 (single bin) to 10×10 (100 cells). Mix-and-match for different storage needs.
• Wall, bottom and divider thickness — independent controls. Outer wall 2.6–8 mm (rigidity), bottom 2–8 mm (load-bearing), dividers 1.6–4 mm (visual separation).
• Corner radius — 0–15 mm rounded fillet on vertical outer + inner edges. Inner radius is concentric, so wall thickness stays uniform around the curve.
• Bottom chamfer — 0–15 mm linear 45° bevel on the bottom outer perimeter and cell floor edges. Cleaner first layer, easier release from the build plate.

Print plate awareness

At larger sizes (200 mm+) the print can exceed common consumer printer plates. Use the Plate menu in the editor to overlay your printer's plate (Bambu A1, X1C, Prusa MK4, Voron 2.4 etc.) — the 3D preview shows whether the design fits before you slice.

Typical print settings

Walls at 3.6 mm print as 9 perimeters with a 0.4 mm nozzle — significantly stiffer than a typical container STL. Bottom at 3 mm holds heavy objects (tools, hardware). Layer height 0.2–0.3 mm. Use 15–20% infill for general use, bump to 40% for tool drawers with heavier loads.

• Craft bead tray: 150×120×25 mm, 6×4 cells, walls 2.6 mm, chamfer 1 mm
• Sock drawer organizer: 300×200×100 mm, 3×2 cells, walls 3 mm, no dividers between
