Custom Text Keychain — multi-color STL & 3MF

About this generator

Custom Keychain produces a parametric text tag with a multi-color 3MF that's ready for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Type your text, choose a font, set the base and emboss colors. The output file includes filament mapping so each color is auto-assigned to an AMS slot on multi-material printers.

What you can change

• Text — letters, numbers, basic punctuation. ~20 characters fit comfortably on a standard tag.
• Font — selection of bundled fonts (rounded, geometric, serif). All bundled fonts are tested for clean printability with FDM printers.
• Layer 1 color — base plate color. Sits on the build plate.
• Layer 2 color — text color. Embossed on top of the base.
• Plate thickness — base layer height. Default works for keyrings; bump up for heavier-duty bag tags.
• Text height — emboss depth. Deeper = more legible, but uses more filament and adds print time.
• Keychain hole — optional split-ring hole. Toggle off for badges or magnets.

Multi-color setup

Export as 3MF to keep the filament color mapping. The file's filament_colour metadata is read by Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer, which auto-assigns each color to an AMS slot. No manual setup needed.

Single-color printer? Export as STL. You'll get the same geometry as a single-color file. Paint or filament-swap manually.

Typical print settings

Print plate-down (base flat on the bed). PLA gives best color separation and detail. Layer height 0.16–0.2 mm for crisp text. With Bambu AMS or Prusa MMU, no purge tower setup needed.
