Military ID Tag - classic, WWII, modern or sci-fi

About this generator

A military-style ID tag you print yourself. Pick the shape - the classic one at its real size, the WWII tag with the notch, a slim modern one or an upright sci-fi tag with a screen line and a contact chip - and type up to five lines. They all get the same letter height and line up on the left, the way an embossing machine sets them; only when a line is too long do they all get a little smaller.

What it's good for

Gifts with a name and a date, a team or club tag, cosplay and airsoft, a keepsake for a pet or a bag. Print a pair like the real thing, add a frame so they don't clink, and put a short line on the back.

What you can change

  • Shape - classic, WWII with the notch, modern or sci-fi; each comes with its own font and look
  • Text - five lines, letter height, six fonts including two stamped-look monospace ones
  • Finish - raised in a second colour, pressed in, or inlaid flush
  • Back - two lines, engraved or printed in colour
  • Extras - a second tag and a frame per tag, in TPU for a snug fit or in PLA/PETG

Printing

Print the tag face up. Raised text needs one filament change at the top face; inlaid text and a printed back need two colours in the same layers (AMS or similar). A TPU frame is cut with no clearance and holds the tag by stretching; a PLA or PETG frame has 0.15 mm of clearance and a drop of glue keeps the tag in. Press the tag in from the top until it sits on the frame's lower edge.

Frequently asked questions

Which file formats can I download?

You get an STL and a 3MF. STL opens in any slicer (Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura); 3MF keeps the colours split, so a multi-colour model opens ready for an AMS or filament changes.

Is this generator free to use?

Yes, with a free account: 5 files a day and 30 a month, counted together across all free generators. No credit card needed. Past that, pay for one file by card or choose a plan.

Can I customize the dimensions and details?

Yes. Every slider and option in the editor changes the model, and the 3D preview updates as you go. The full list of what you can change is in the description above.

Do I need an account?

An account lets you save drafts, sync settings across devices, and use the free daily quota. Browse and preview without one - login only required for download.
